First off a big thank you to Skip from http://skipology.com for the inspiration behind these next two images. Please visit his site, the images are amazing and far superior to these and he selflessly publishes tutorials on his workflow and the apps he uses. This Oxeye Daisy was from my garden, it was placed in a vase against a neutral background and shot using the pro camera app which allows you to set the exposure and the focus. I opened in snapseed first to crop and sharpen and the created a textured layer in Distressed FX. I then opened up both layers in Filterstorm and using a mask erased the texture from the daisy itself, then flattened the image. Next I opened using 100cameras and used one of there amazing collection of filters to get the desired effect. Title FX is a great app for adding text with loads of options. Finally back to snapseed for the frame. Here’s another before and after image of the same flower with some of the vase showing. The processing was identical to the first image minus the text. All in all both images took about 1.5 hours to process and everything was done on the iphone!
Hope your all suitably inspired to have a go……
